The Samsung Galaxy S7 is a stellar phone. It's a handset that packs great battery, excellent camera features and capabilities with lots of power embedded in a package. It has a gorgeous display both the front and back are covered in Gorilla Glass 4. The camera lens now sits just about flush with the glass body too. With the S7 Samsung's also brought back its waterproofing protection.
Samsung Galaxy S7 has a fantastic display. You're unlikely to notice much of a difference coming from a Galaxy S6. The Galaxy S7 sports the same size 5.1-inch display as the S6, Samsung has managed to shave off a fraction of the bezel around the screen, reducing the handset's height and width slightly. The S7 has a 5.1in Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560, and it’s as sharp as sharp can be and the whites are more whiter than previous models.
Samsung has reused the premium glass and metal finished it employed on the S6. On closer inspection though, you'll begin to notice the subtle differences that make the Samsung Galaxy S7 the best looking, and feeling, Galaxy ever. The corners are more rounded, and the aluminum frame that's sandwiched between the front and rear glass is less obtrusive, with less of an overhang than its predecessor. The Galaxy S7 is a phone you can grip confidently.
The Galaxy S7 has a 12-megapixel sensor compared to the 16 megapixels of the S6, shots are still more than detailed enough for most purposes. Plus, the bigger pixels and the very wide f1.7 aperture of the lens make for excellent low light photography. The wide aperture lets in a lot of light. Landscapes in bright sunshine and portraits indoors under harsh fluorescent lights looked great, with none of the overly aggressive sharpening that has spoiled previous Galaxy S cameras
Samsung has endowed the S7 with a very impressive 3000 mAh of battery power. That's almost as much as the Note 4, and so much bigger than anything ever seen in an iPhone. It may also be the reason the S7 is thicker than the S6, but if that's the case. S7 has exceptional battery life, easily surviving a whole day of very intensive use. The Samsung Galaxy S7 supports fast charging. With a wireless charging accessory, you can fully recharge in two-and-a-half hours.
